Jay
|
|
|
|
Poet and essayist, James Jay is a founding publisher and editor for
Camphorweed Press. He has worked throughout the West as a wildland firefighter, furniture mover, bartender, janitor, and any job that allows for time to write, travel, and volunteer for independent publishers and arts organizations as an editor, director, or whatever needs being done.

He has also taught part-time as a creative writing and composition instructor. His writing has appeared in
Cutbank, Crab Creek Review, Big Dan Nielsen’s Nerve Bundle
Review, and Carbon 14. His first book of
poetry,
The Undercards, will be released by Gorsky Press
in February 2003. He has a B.A. and M.A. from Northern
Arizona University, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from
University of Montana. Currently, he lives in Flagstaff.
