Bonnie Stevens has spent nearly two decades as a journalist and a lifetime as an explorer of our Southwestern forests. As a television news reporter, she has filed reports—mostly about the environment—for stations across the country and beyond. She has written several documentaries, including “Exploring Lake Powell,” which appears on PBS, and “Our Great Ponderosa Pine Forest—Restoring the Balance,” used in high school, college and university classes. Her love for the outdoors, and especially the magic of aspen forests, inspired her to write Quaking Aspen to share with children everywhere.

Bonnie runs her own public relations firm, The Communication Station, and looks forward to writing more books. In her spare time you’ll find Bonnie and her husband, Fred Stevens, steaming milk and serving gourmet coffee at the Latte Shack, which they have owned for two years. But what gives her the most joy is discovering the world with Fred and their four teenage boys Jacob, Tyler, Paul and Logan.
